Borderlands 4 Golden Keys
Golden Keys open the golden chest in unlocked safehouses for randomized gear. Most keys come from active SHIFT codes; some editions grant bonus keys.
Unlock at least one safehouse, then interact with the golden chest to spend keys.
Redeem SHIFT codes on shift.gearboxsoftware.com or in-game, then wait for the key balance to update.
Keys are account-bound to the linked SHIFT identity - they do not trade between unrelated accounts.
Chest loot scales with your level and region progression, so spending keys at endgame yields better rolls.
